Meet Our Team!
Executive Director Angie Genade joined Rhino Fund in 2008 and has found herself right at home with the rhinos. With support of the entire staff and sound business and wildlife experience, Angie has made a huge positive impact at the sanctuary already. Angie looks forward to a great future at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Head Ranger Lutalo Godfrey was one of the initial 28 rangers selected for a position with Rhino Fund Uganda. He is from a neighbouring community and has worked his way up to head ranger. He is now in charge of the team of rangers and askaris at the sanctuary.
Education and Community Upliftment Juliet Nakanjako has been working with the Rhino Fund since 2005. Juliet grew up in a community near the sanctuary and now works with the communities full time. Juliet manages both the education program for primary six students and the community upliftment program. The programs are held in the schools, at the sanctuary, and in the surrounding communities.
Rangers and Askaris We have a group of 50 Rangers and Askaris. Our Rangers are trained and certified by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The Askaris assist the Rangers with their duties and work in pairs with the Rangers.
Reception Susan and Annette joined the Rhino Fund in 2009. They meet and greet our guests upon arrival with a big smile. During our visitors stay, they make everyone feel comfortable and keep things organized.
Sanctuary Support We have a great group of folks who will make your visit and stay with us fantastic. Cissy, Beatrice, Stella, Rose, Agnes, and Grace are the core of our housekeeping team; Stephen and Geoffrey keep the grounds at the headquarters looking beautiful; and Chef Andrew and Chef David will tend to all your gastronomic needs.
